From time to time, we get requests for posters, photos, songs and documents to include in videos, radio shows, public exhibitions and the like. We try to meet these requests in a timely manner and for the most part we succeed. Here are some of the recent requests we have received:
- Three Graphic Collective posters will be in an exhibit called Signs of Change: Social Movement Cultures 1968-Present. The exhibit runs from September 20th till November 22, 2008 at Exit Art and from January 23 to March 7, 2009 at the Miller Gallery of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
- A professor at Columbia College is using three of Elaine Wessel's CWLU photos for a documentary film that he is working on.
- An exhibition about the history of women at the University of Chicago will be opening in spring of 2009. It will include some historic memorabilia from the Abortion Counseling Service of Women's Liberation, better known as Jane.
In addition, on August 15 an exhibition featuring works by Barbara Jones-Hogu of AfriCOBRA, Bob Crawford, the Hairy Who, and the Chicago Women's Graphics Collective opened at the Dova Gallery in Hyde Park here in Chicago. We did not assist in that effort. More info at Looks Like Freedom.
